SPANISH GUITAR
Dominican guitarist and teacher Karel Kalaf will be offering students the opportunity to learn to play guitar and basic music theory in both Spanish and English. We will follow the Children’s Guitar Method, a popular methodology which integrates the reading of music with chord playing. The main focus of the lessons will be to learn this method and in turn to integrate typical Spanish children’s songs into the learning process. The course will also include an approach to familiarise students with words and songs from the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures by teaching them songs with easily adapted lyrics to well-known melodies.
